About the programme
What you're enrolling in, when it runs, and what happens at the end.
01What is Mego Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan?
It's a free, eight-week training programme that prepares you to become a certified Mego Forex agent. You learn foreign exchange, the seven Mego products, sales, and compliance — entirely in plain English, on a phone. There is no fee and no investment, ever.
02Is it really free?
Yes. There are no hidden fees, no paid upgrades, and no advance payments. This is an India skilling initiative. Mego earns when its certified agents successfully refer clients — not from the trainees themselves.
03When does the programme start?
Cohort 2026-01 begins Monday, May 25, 2026 at 09:00 IST. Each module runs Monday to Friday, with weekends off.
04How long does it take?
Four weeks of training, one revision week, and a final proctored exam — about five weeks from start to certification.
05What happens after I'm certified?
Your AGENT role is activated and a 45-day internship period begins on July 1, 2026. You submit client leads through the agent platform and earn commission on each successful referral. No salary, no targets, no penalties.
About registration & onboarding
Trainee ID, identity verification, and the welcome email.
01What's my Trainee ID?
Your Trainee ID follows the format MEGO-2026-XXXXX. It's your identifier across the entire programme — you'll see it at the top of your dashboard and inside every email we send. Mention it whenever you contact support and we can pull up your record instantly.
02Why do you need my Aadhaar?
Mego operates on licensed financial-services infrastructure. RBI and FEMA require identity verification for anyone acting in an agent role. We use DigiLocker — the Government of India's official document wallet — to verify you. Mego never sees your Aadhaar number.
03What is DigiLocker?
DigiLocker is the Government of India's official digital document wallet. If you've used Aadhaar online before, you probably already have an account. You sign in with your DigiLocker credentials and consent to share Aadhaar e-KYC with Mego. That's it.
04I don't have a DigiLocker account — what do I do?
Creating one is free and takes about two minutes if your Aadhaar is linked to a mobile number. Visit digilocker.gov.in or download the official DigiLocker app, sign up with your mobile, and come back to your Mego dashboard to continue verification.
05My DigiLocker verification failed — what now?
Try again from your dashboard — the most common cause is a temporary outage on the DigiLocker side. If it fails repeatedly, email support with your Trainee ID and we'll help. Your enrollment is safe in the meantime.
06I didn't get the welcome email — what should I do?
Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it isn't there, email support with your Trainee ID and we'll resend it. Your account is still active either way.
About the training
Modules, time commitment, language, and attendance.
01What will I learn?
Four modules: General Study (foundations and RBI/FEMA compliance), Mego Products (all seven services), Mego Products Sale (pitching, objections, bundling), and Becoming a Mego Agent (platform mastery, group discussions, certification).
02How much time do I need per week?
Roughly five to seven hours a week. Daily sessions are short and designed to fit around work or studies.
03Will the content be in my language?
English for v1. We've collected your preferred language at signup and will prioritise translations based on cohort demand. The dashboard language switcher already supports ten languages for navigation copy.
04Do I need a finance background?
No. The programme starts from foundations. Anyone aged 18 or older with a smartphone can complete it.
05Can I miss a day?
Try not to. The schedule is sequential and a weekly assessment closes each week. If you miss something because of a real emergency, contact support and we'll figure it out.
About earnings & certification
How agents earn, what the certificate means, and the exam.
01How do I earn money?
You earn commission on each successful client referral across Mego's seven services. There is no salary, no fixed target, and no penalty for not referring. You earn when your client successfully transacts.
02How much can I earn?
It depends entirely on how many clients you refer and which services they use. We don't promise specific figures, and you should be careful of anyone who does. Your earnings are commission only.
03Is the certificate recognised?
It is a Mego Forex certification — proof you have completed our training and passed our exam. It is not an RBI licence. Certified agents operate as referral partners of Mego, not as independently licensed money changers.
04What if I fail the exam?
You can retake it. Up to three attempts are allowed, with a seven-day gap between attempts and mandatory revision in between.
About data & privacy
What we store, where it lives, and how to delete it.
01What do you do with my Aadhaar?
We use DigiLocker to verify your identity. We store only the last four digits of your Aadhaar, your verified name match, and the verification timestamp. We do not store your full Aadhaar number, your address, or any other Aadhaar data.
02Will my data be sold?
No.
03Can I delete my account?
Yes. Contact support and we'll delete your account and associated data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements for KYC records.
04Where is my data stored?
On secure servers within India (GCP asia-south1 region). Encrypted at rest and in transit.
Tell us what's wrong — we'll get back to you.
Include a short description of the problem. Your Trainee ID is already attached. We aim to reply within one working day, often sooner.
